NEW VIRTUAL VALIDATION METHODS FOR LIGHT REDUCERS FOR RAILWAYS.

The VALIRED project arose from the need to incorporate modelling technologies applied to the validation phase of the railway gearbox and to have such knowledge available to apply it from the design phase in future developments. This project aims to reduce the time-to-market of a railway gearbox by developing calculation and simulation models to predict the response of the gearbox to two phenomena with high uncertainty in the validation phase on a test bench: lubrication and acoustics.
The project, within the framework of the FEDER (“a way of making Europe”), has received funding from the European Union through the NextGenerationEU Funds and from the Department of Economic Development, Sustainability and Environment, within the HAZITEK aid programme.
