NEW DISRUPTIVE DESIGN METHODS FOR FUTURE RAILWAY GEARBOXES.

The LITEGEAR project was created to advance knowledge of the phenomena involved in the operation of a railway gearbox, to characterise them and to be able to develop a methodology and design criteria in line with the new demands of the sector. This commitment aims to reduce consumption and increase efficiency, which will result in lower polluting emissions and a reduction in the carbon footprint generated.
The project, within the framework of the FEDER (“a way of making Europe”), has received funding from the European Union through the NextGenerationEU Funds and from the Department of Economic Development, Sustainability and Environment, within the HAZITEK aid programme.
