Euskotren and CAF today signed the contract for the manufacture of three extra-long trams to be added to the Vitoria-Gasteiz fleet to meet the growing demand for tram services in Vitoria-Gasteiz. The new units will represent an investment of €20 million and will be delivered in the second half of 2027.
The new vehicles will have the same length - seven modules - and similar characteristics to the current extra-long vehicles, although they will incorporate new features in terms of accessibility: no tip-up seats, adapted signage and chromatic differentiation in the areas reserved for groups with functional diversity.
