Our state-of-the-art Elmira, NY, plant is where we manufacture light rail vehicles, streetcars and coaches. This facility also houses Engineering, Testing, Quality, Safety, Purchasing, and other departments, while the company’s corporate office is located in Washington, DC.

In addition to our innovative manufacturing capabilities, CAF USA is committed to inclusion, actively engaging Minority-owned, Woman-owned, Small, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (MWSDBEs) in our projects.

CAF USA seeks qualified DBEs and SBEs which can provide the following materials / perform the following work for railcar manufacturing: sheet metalwork, machining, welding, stamping, cabling, adhesives, decalcomania & labels, steel plates, floor panels, paint, insulation, side skirts & roof shrouds, seats, pantographs, propulsion equipment, traction motors, high speed circuit breakers, master controller, propulsion wiring, propulsion gear boxes, auxiliary converter & battery charger, electrical panels & wiring for auxiliaries, floor covering, interior lining etc.

All MWSDBE firms must meet CAF USA’s supplier standards and SBA size standards. DBEs must possess current DBE certification from a UCP-authorized agency.

Public notice: Disadvantaged business enterprise goal for federal fiscal year 2025

Pursuant to 49 CFR Part 26, CAF USA Inc., a TVM, hereby proposes an overall goal of 3.38% for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation in subcontracting opportunities on federally assisted projects during Federal Fiscal Year 2025.

The goal and its rationale are available for public review for 30 days at the address listed below.

Hours of operation are Monday and through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
